With nature as our guide we will have a seasonal educational focus to guide our learning.
Falls learning focus will be on bugs and plant identification.
Winters Focus is on weather and animal tracking/navigation.
Springs focus is on bush-crafting and gardening.
At Honeybee we know that your child is the greatest tool for guiding their learning and we are in the business of listening, supporting and encouraging them to take control! So while we have a seasonal focus we do not have a set curriculum that is cut, copy and paste. As teachers we have a myriad of activities and situations we will observe our class in and custom build their classes accordingly.
Logistics-
Each morning we will begin our day on campus learning through expansive literature, hands on experiments, guided games and active recording in our custom nature journals. In the afternoon we will head to our local park to eat lunch, have an age-appropriate rest and play to our hearts content.

Tiered Pricing explained- We are a cooperative school which means we thrive on parent involvement! We want your personal touch each session and year that your family is apart of Honeybee. With both Tiers of pricing we are requiring parent volunteer hours. I know this can seem like alot for a family that is already so busy- but don’t fret! We have plenty of ideas of how you can volunteer without eating into your daily flow. A few volunteering options that parents have done in the past look like: arranging a book drive, organizing a potluck for our monthly get togethers, supporting staff for an hour or two during class or for an on campus project, and so many other ideas!
Tier One- 15 Volunteer hours per family per session
Tier Two- 4 Volunteer hours per family per session
