Child Led. Community Centric.

Through the years we've journeyed where our foot prints remain on the shore line trail, through muddy pastures and along the historic streets of our beloved city, Ogden. It's here, in one of the most vibrant cities in Utah, that we have the opportunity to learn the value each of us brings to our community through our individuality.

We have found that our Forager Bees need their own special spot where they are empowered to not only play but to learn new skills while soaking up nature. They thrive on learning through movement, so we've tailored their program to support their playful rhythms. Each week during Drone Discovery Club, they'll dive into foraging and other traditional life skills. You can find them exploring fresh trails and honing their new skills in our outdoor classroom. Regular field trips are on the agenda, and family support is key to making these happen, as they count towards required volunteer hours. Our Biosphere stewards class will lead the Foragers in learning to identify local wildlife and caring for our class garden and rescue creatures.

The Guardian Bee program has evolved over the years, and this upcoming year promises to be the best yet! Through focused six-week programs we will be able to dive deep into your Honeybees interests surrounding outdoor service, entrepreneurship, and garden co-ops. Guardian bees have the unique opportunity to care for our school horses, train them, and can progress to riding lessons on Friday afternoons.

Hive builders is a program where both Worker Bee groups get to be together (ages 6-13). We are looking forward to learning the skills we need to thrive in the wild and in our daily life. Some examples of what we will be doing are: building and cooking with fire, whittling, weaving, sewing, cooking/baking and any other skills we observe your students seeking.

Schedule and Pricing

Honeybee is currently operating on a seasonal schedule comprised of three sessions. Fall session is September 9th - November 27th. Winter Session runs December 2nd - February 28th. Spring session is March 10th - May 22nd.

Pricing below is per session, you’re welcome to request monthly tuition on your application if you prefer.

We are introducing tiered tuition this year in an effort to become a cooperative school. We love our community and want your unique touch! Tiered tuition looks like families with different means contributing in a way that is best for you.
Those with more availability can opt for Tier One, volunteering 15 hours per session (max 20 hours for families with siblings) at a set price. Families selecting Tier Two will contribute financially and dedicate four hours (6 hours max) of their time. Volunteer positions are always growing but will include being a teachers helper, planning monthly get togethers, campus maintenance, social media manager and running workshops for our students and/or their families.
